Every remodel is built with careful attention to detail, quality materials, and proven installation methods. Our workmanship warranty reflects the pride we take in our work and our commitment to standing behind it.
Warranty Coverage
Blue Ridge Build Co. provides a two-year workmanship warranty beginning on the date of substantial project completion, unless otherwise specified in your signed construction agreement.
This warranty covers defects resulting from the installation or workmanship performed by Blue Ridge Build Co. during the original scope of work.
What’s Covered
- Installation defects resulting from our workmanship
- Improper installation of materials installed by Blue Ridge Build Co
- Work that fails because it was not installed in accordance with accepted industry practices
- Corrective labor required to repair covered workmanship issues
- Repairs performed under this warranty at no additional labor cost to the homeowner
What’s Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by homeowner misuse
- Lack of routine maintenance
- Manufacturer defects
- Products supplied by the homeowner
- Damage caused by other contractors
- Natural disasters
- Flooding
- Fire
- Lightning
- Storm damage
- Foundation movement
- Structural settling
- Modifications made after project completion
- Cosmetic changes resulting from natural aging
Manufacturer Warranties
Many of the products installed during your remodel—including flooring, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, appliances, lighting, windows, doors, roofing products, and other materials—may include separate manufacturer warranties.
These warranties are provided by the product manufacturer and are independent of Blue Ridge Build Co.’s workmanship warranty. Coverage, duration, and claim procedures vary by manufacturer. We encourage homeowners to retain all product documentation provided at project completion.
Submitting a Claim
If you believe you’ve identified a workmanship issue covered under our warranty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Providing clear information helps us evaluate the concern and respond more efficiently.
When submitting a warranty request, please include:
- Your name and project address.
- A detailed description of the issue you’ve observed.
- Photographs or videos of the affected area, if available.
- The date the issue was first noticed.
After we receive your warranty request, our team will review the information, contact you to discuss the next steps, and schedule an on-site inspection if needed. We’ll evaluate the issue, determine whether it qualifies for coverage under our workmanship warranty, and recommend the appropriate resolution.
Our goal is to respond promptly, communicate openly throughout the process, and resolve valid warranty concerns as efficiently as possible.
Warranty Service
If we determine that our workmanship warranty covers the issue, Blue Ridge Build Co. will promptly repair or replace the affected work using the method that best restores the quality and integrity of the original installation.
Completing warranty repairs does not extend or renew the original warranty period unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Limitations
This warranty covers only the workmanship provided by Blue Ridge Build Co. It does not modify or replace the rights or obligations outlined in your signed construction agreement.
Under this warranty, Blue Ridge Build Co. will repair or replace covered workmanship defects. Except where prohibited by applicable law, we do not cover incidental, consequential, or indirect damages. These limitations are standard within the construction industry.
Transferability
This workmanship warranty applies only to the original customer identified in the construction agreement and is not transferable unless otherwise stated in writing.
